This week we learnt about why we have ANZAC day. The war happened in 1914. New Zealand and Australia landed on the wrong side and Turkey was on the big hill called Chunuk Bair.

2025 Cricket !
In week 3, my class went to a cricket tournament. I was on the Kiwi team, and we had a lot of fun there. I caught one
person out, batted a couple of times too. Cricket was on Friday and we had two teams entered with 15 teams playing!

Elements of art
We have been learning about the elements of art. 
We have done texture, line, color, space, and shape.
I still have to do value and form.
What is going to happen this week!
On Monday is just a normal day of school, then Tuesday is pet day, you bring a pet or if you don’t you can look around the school and look at the different animals. Wednesday and Thursday i don’t know what is happening but on Friday its the big day out, the big day out is were we watch a movie and go to the pool.
I am looking forward to all of the rest of the week.
Writing a narrative
Yesterday i did a narrative, a narrative is writing a story with a problem, setting, character and a Solution.
One gloomy morning a women in yellow was exploring a forest, then she heard a “CRACK!” What was the she said? She kept walking again exploring the unknown forest. A couple minutes later she was lost. She looked around and could not see any familiar landmarks. The mist was getting thicker and the birds stopped singing. Every tree looked the same. She was starting to get frightened.
The rain started to fall, She was feeling cold and wet. Her puffer jacket soaked up the moisture, it felt heavy on her shoulders. She sat down and looked through her pack looking for something to eat.
She couldn’t find her way back, she wanted to get back, but then… She heard a group of bikers coming down the track. “HELP!” She said, the bikers came to her and helped her back to the exit.
Cricket on 17th October
On Friday year 5 and 6 went to a cricket competition, there where 2 teams. I was in team 1. It was fun but when I was waiting it was boring.
I was very tired after cricket, it was extra hot because of my hat . It started rain when we got in the car! I was very lucky. Max A’s dad was our manager.
I will do it again next year! But it was a friendly game so there was no place like 1st 2nd or 3rd

Resilience
This week we have had the Life Education Trust Caravan here at School. Harold the Giraffe lives in the Caravan and is looked after by Kelly.
Yesterday we learnt about Resilience. Resilience is a word that mean you make things better, like when your having a bad day and you make it better!
We’re learning to do that. That’s what I’m trying to do! I’ve done it a couple of times, we also learnt so more about it with Harold. Harold is a giraffe and hes very funny.

2024! Woodend camp
On the 2nd of September the year 5/6 people went on camp at Woodend I loved it there it was so fun! Also funny at some times.
The first day we arrived at like 2:00 to 2:30, it was a pretty long car ride. When we got to camp we had to set up in our cabins|||||||||
Then we played outside till dinner, we had dinner then got ready for bed, lights out at 8:45.
The next day we woke up and had breakfast then had our first rotations my first one was the climbing wall.
I got to the end, 1 on the hard, 2 on the easy one. I liked it but it hurt pulling myself up.
Then had lunch I forgot what we had, but after that we just played. Forgot what we did after.
Its kind of a big story so I cant write all of it.
I would want to go there again. it was a big week I was very tired after that.
Now I have to wait another year 🙁
Personification
Objective is to write a free verse poem personifying a stream.
A personification makes a non-human thing seem human.
An example of personification, the sun smiled at us. The leaves danced across the lawn.
We learnt it so we could make our writing more interesting.
I think I did a really good job. I will use it again.

Today we went on this website and it a site were you have to describe an ai photo. then write a story of what the photo looks like. Ai will then generate a picture and give you a percent 1 to 100. 100% mean you got the exact same picture but if it doesn’t it will be something I little different. 
My picture is the one on the right and the one that you had to try to describe.
